CCCC Dredging to Develop Malaysia’s First Smart AI Container Port

Midports Holdings, a subsidiary of Tanco Holdings, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CCCC Dredging Group to design and implement Malaysia’s inaugural Smart AI Container Port at Port Dickson.

CCCC Dredging’s Expertise and Capabilities

Tanco Holdings announced that CCCC Dredging, a leading dredging, port, and coastal engineering contractor, brings advanced equipment, cutting-edge machinery, and a wealth of construction experience to this ambitious project. The company is well-equipped with the necessary resources and capacity to execute the development of this substantial port.

Strategic Partnership for Maritime Infrastructure

Liu Yongman, Chairman of CCCC Dredging, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are excited to partner with Tanco Holdings on this pioneering venture. Prime Location for Global Shipping

Strategically positioned in the Straits of Malacca, the planned intelligent AI container port will offer natural deep-water access over 21 meters, situated 1.8km from the shoreline. This depth will accommodate the world’s largest container ships.

Joint Venture for Reclamation Works

This MoU follows the joint venture agreement announced on February 27, 2024, between Midports and Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan (Perbadanan) to undertake the necessary reclamation work for the project.

Benefits of Malaysia’s First Smart AI Container Port

The Smart AI Container Port in Port Dickson will boost Malaysia’s maritime infrastructure and set new operational efficiency and environmental sustainability standards. By leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, the port aims to streamline operations, reduce environmental impact, and enhance Malaysia’s position as a key player in global trade.

Conclusion

The collaboration between Midports Holdings and CCCC Dredging Group marks a significant milestone in Malaysia’s maritime sector. With both companies’ combined expertise and resources, the Smart AI Container Port at Port Dickson is set to become a benchmark for future port developments, driving economic growth and establishing new standards in port operations.
