Built at Damen Shipyard 189 in Vietnam

The TSHD 1000 will be constructed at Damen’s Shipyard 189, located in Haiphong, Vietnam. The shipyard is known for its high-quality standards and expertise in building complex dredging vessels.

Environmentally Friendly Dredging with a Green Passport

The new dredger will arrive in New Zealand with a Green Passport, in compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) environmental standards. This certification underscores Damen’s commitment to sustainable shipbuilding and environmentally responsible operations.

Supporting New Zealand’s Ports with Advanced Dredging Technology

The partnership between Damen, Port Otago, and Napier Port highlights the importance of investing in modern dredging equipment to support port operations and ensure navigational safety. The addition of the TSHD 1000 will play a pivotal role in enhancing dredging efficiency, supporting economic growth, and maintaining high environmental standards.
