Ryba Marine Construction, a Michigan-based company, has won a $1.5 million contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to dredge the federal navigation channel at Barcelona Harbor, New York. The project aims to improve navigation and ensure safe passage for vessels in the area.
Dredging Project to Begin in 2025
The dredging project will focus on the mouth of Barcelona Harbor, where shoals have been causing navigational challenges. According to USACE, dredging is set to begin in mid-May 2025 and is expected to conclude by early July 2025.
