Gorodets Ship Repair and Shipbuilding Corporation (SSK), located in Nizhny Novgorod, has successfully constructed a non-self-propelled dredger scheduled to be transported via river to the Altay Territory within the next 40 days.
Allocation of Federal Funds and Financial Investment
Notably, this non-self-propelled dredger marks the first instance since 1980 that federal funds have been allocated to acquire such equipment for the region. The financial investment surpasses 1 billion Russian rubles, a substantial commitment. The vessel itself is christened in honor of Yevgeny Pleskevich, a distinguished figure in the river industry who earned recognition as a worker of high merit within the Russian Federation.
Reports from earlier years indicate that 2022 witnessed an all-time high in the performance of river transport.
