McLaughlin & Harvey, a prominent building and civil engineering contractor, has recently achieved significant milestones in the Port of Lowestoft project. This endeavor involves collaborating with Associated British Ports (ABP) on the development of the Lowestoft Eastern Energy Facility (LEEF), a substantial investment initiative within Lowestoft’s Outer Harbour.
Milestones Achieved in Port of Lowestoft Project
LEEF spans across areas both to the East and West of the Harbour, tailored to meet the latest demands of the offshore energy sector. Currently, the project’s focus lies on crucial tasks such as piling works on the main quay wall, anchor wall, and fuel bund, as confirmed by McLaughlin & Harvey. Additionally, the project entails capital dredging of approach channels and ongoing maintenance dredging activities. According to the contractor’s updates, dredging operations are scheduled to commence next month, alongside reinforced concrete works.
