The forthcoming 2023 WEDA Eastern Chapter meeting, set to take place in Jacksonville, FL, aims to make it an event with a distinct focus. In light of this objective, the organizing team has identified Coastal Resilience and Dredging Restoration & Infrastructure Improvements as its theme.
The central thrust is to encourage presentations that delve into dredging engineering and construction, specifically concerning coastal resilience, restoration, and infrastructure enhancements. Key areas of interest include:
- Innovative dredging techniques.
- Adept materials management.
- The constructive use of dredged materials (BUDM).
- The safeguarding and augmentation of the marine environment.
Notably, presentations that center on self-promotion, individual products, or corporate marketing will not be considered for acceptance. However, presenters are welcome to incorporate their corporate logos within their slides. The allocated time for each presentation is 20 minutes, allowing for subsequent questions and interactions.
Upon selection, finalized presentations must be furnished to the Eastern Chapter by September 30, 2023.
